Leporello_Drones and other flying objects

“Leporello_Drones and other flying objects” 2025.

In this work, I thematize “black holes” and the “black whole” at the same time in these dystopian times. Military drones disguised as animals such as owls or seagulls, even with an obvious technical appearance, are currently criss-crossing our airspace and waters. They are flying on private and state missions. Filming, strafing, spying, dropping bombs. Remote-controlled and often invisible.

This leporello is about architectural and inner spaces that are out of balance. About fears and attempts to understand and deal with the maelstrom of events.

The drone motifs are laid on the paper in white as a linoleum print, above which are pencil drawings of drone outlines and buildings in all states of aggregation.

Technical specifications:

It is a unique piece in mixed technique from linoleum printing in white tinting paint.

The motifs are drones of all kinds. On this layer are black outline shapes that are painted with neon-colored watercolors by Kremer (lightfast). Depending on the incidence of light, different stories emerge.

The paints and pigments are water-based and climate-neutral.

The 200 gr. drawing paper is acid-free. Place of origin Munich and Berlin.

The fanfold is one-sided and has a total of 16 motif pages with the cover made of printed black cardboard (with luminescent color).

The total length of the 12 sheets (each 30 x 21 cm) is 320 cm.

Outer dimensions when folded 30 cm x 22 cm.
