for the open space of the publicly subsidized housing development Munich/Riem:

The art in the small park was intended to create a center of communication and contemplation uniting ethnicities and generations, radiating into the adjacent urban space.

LooooooopspoooooL is a twenty-part metal spatial form that stretches 29 meters in length in a sinusoidal wave motion. The interrelationship with the terrain levels creates a complex sequence of vistas and overlays that transforms the landscape into a >visual piece<.

The name of the room sculpture plays with several meanings: >loop< is the english word for loop, as palindrome turned to >pool< it means >unite into one ring<.

LooooooopspoooooL runs through the park landscape like an accordion. The interplay of static and dynamic elements creates a spatial sound that invites the viewer to embark on a virtual voyage of discovery through the area, both haptically and visually.
