Lost&Found

lost&found deals with public space as a stage:
things that have been altered beyond recognition and dismantled are put on the street or on digital exchange platforms, sometimes with loving instructions. Many things are to be saved, put to a new use, upcycled, others are simply cryptically littered. Thus, urban abysses and heights, the polarities so typical of Berlin, show themselves to me with full emphasis on one and the same phenomenon: great care and complete chaos can be experienced as settlements.
As a visual artist, I walk through these signs with pencil, carving iron and camera, transforming one or the other.
And voilá: lost&found an attempt to track down the soul of things, to encircle it and transform it into a walk-in diary. Mixed media, wood and wonderment. My new Berlin works

were shown from 16-30.8.2014 in the exhibition “XXXL” at Galerie Neurotitan in Rosenthalerstraße 39, 1st floor. in the Schwarzenbergpalais in Berlin Mitte right next to the Hackesche Höfe.
