good star Wolfratshausen
Wall work in the stairwell of the new police station Wolfratshausen The significant sign of the “citizen in uniform” is the police star. Whether in an “Internet outfit,” as a logo on cars and buildings, or as an element of official uniforms, its 12-pointed, layered shape is instantly recognizable. For the print motifs on the glass panes, I digitally processed, layered, mirrored and optically set these stars in motion. Circular sections were selected from the resulting image. These 3 motif glasses represent metamorphoses from police star to starfish. |

The glass panes seem to penetrate the wall like camera lenses, laying imaginary axes and dynamizing the space. The circles create a visual penetration on three levels of appearance that communicates with the architecture and emphasizes the shadow movement of natural light. The 7 printed round discs have a diameter of 1 meter each. They are made of safety glass, which are drilled in the center and placed in front of the north wall. The glass colors are translucent baked. Colored projections of the motifs are created via the distance to the white wall. The front of the glass objects is highly glossy and gives the staircase transparency via reflections and reflexes. An open structure is created that allows image sequences to be experienced via printing, projection, positioning and reflection from different locations and passing speeds. |
