For the Long Night of Museums 2003 I was a guest in Pipon’s Container in front of and subsequently also at the exhibition series “Zimmer frei” in the Hotel Mariandl, Munich.

My room installation, developed especially for the place and its neighborhood, is titled the red room.

It consists of real and fictitious objects borrowed from the world of work.

These are dipped in red paper by means of the laminating technique and thus lose their representational quality, becoming a red room. A guest room for nomadic continuous work.

A guest room without a bed and without windows to the outside. The work addresses the ever-changing meaning of public and private space.
