black (w)hole leporello_drones
In my most recent work, the “black (w)hole leporello_drohnen” , I focus on “black holes” and the “black whole” at the same time in these dystopian times. Military drones, disguised as animals such as owls or with an overtly technical appearance, are currently criss-crossing our airspace and waters.
They are on private and state missions.
Filming, strafing, spying, dropping bombs.
Remote-controlled and often invisible.
This leporello is about architectural and inner spaces that are out of balance.
About fears and attempts to understand and deal with the maelstrom of events.
The drone motifs are laid on the paper in white as a linoleum print, above which are pencil drawings of drone outlines and isolated people
A work with a lot of minor keys which, according to my teacher at the Academy in Vienna, the philosopher Prof. Arnold Keyserling, becomes major and comforting again.
