Trifolium is a concentrically opened metal form attached to a spiral circle segment and located horizontally in the atrium. This eight-part spatial work expresses the tension of a botanical form (considered to be a good-luck charm) as reflected in an architectural form. The straight sections between the two curves of the trifolium leaves become longer toward the center of the piece, making them reminiscent of baroque picture frames. The vertically hung forms stage and frame light and shadow-plays, depending on the season and time of day in the areal.
