imbenge-dreamhouse

imbenge-dreamhouse

Personal Foreword by the South African Minister of Arts And Culture

South Africa has enjoyed very constructive cultural relations with the Federal Republic of Germany since 1997. The cultural exchanges between our two countries are vigorous and varied, including expressions and practitioners from genres such as visual art, opera, film, heritage and archives.

I am pleased that the "imbenge-dreamhouse" will combine old cultural traditions with new modern technology. I believe that our partnership can serve to broaden opportunities for regional development, NEPAD priorities and EU / AU dialogue.

I am pleased to announce that we celebrated our Ten Years of Democracy in South Africa last year. The freedom we now have would not have been possible without the support of ordinary people including Germans throughout the world.

As we celebrated ten years of freedom in 2004 and seven years of German/South African collaboration, I look forward to an ongoing partnership with the Federal Republic of Germany in the cultural field, towards strengthening the dialogue among civilizations and celebrating cultural diversity,

Z. PALLO JORDAN SOUTH AFRICAN MINISTER OF ARTS AND CULTURE
