These are spatially aligned so that their shadows fall on the north wall. The panes pick up the points of light created by the sunlight on the printed window panes. They become projection surfaces. Through different solid angles to their round frames, the panes describe spherical sections reminiscent of large molecules formed from many pulsating atoms.    <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>CHANNEL<\/em><\/strong> tapers from 530 cm to 10 cm over eleven levels and two storey heights. The diagonal orientation of the elements represents the dynamics of the hall in the air space, reflecting the movement of space. Through their interplay, the spatial design of <strong><em>CHANNEL<\/em><\/strong>. In this way, the room can be experienced as a unit without losing its glassy transparency. <\/p>\n<p>The geometry of the floor space (see drawing) can be seen from the ground floor and 2nd floor. Daylight and artificial lighting become an experience through the parts braced with stainless steel cables. They &#8220;catch&#8221; the light points, which resemble whirring atoms, reflect them, form shadows and enter into a dialog with the room: light, seemingly floating and yet firmly connected.  <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geometry and implementation:  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The total diameter of the 2 cm thick aluminum disc is 390 cm. The 20 individual shapes are digitized and cut out of it using water jet technology. The ten upper segments are drilled five times each for cable guidance, the five circles twice each (see drawing) and connected to the ball locks on the cables using special washers. The five &#8220;projection discs&#8221; are drilled on a 140 cm central axis and screwed to the frames with stainless steel threaded rods. These are connected via radial ropes and guided to the five designated spatial points with two ropes each. The exact spatial position of the pulleys is adjusted after the cables have been installed.     <\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Material:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The elements are made of aluminum (ALCO or MIG 6). The surface of the sandblasted aluminum is powder-coated with mica in aluminum color <\/p>\n<p> <em> &#8220;The total weight of <\/em><strong><em>CHANNEL <\/em><\/strong> <em>including the wire ropes, brakes and rope end fittings approx. 8 KN.
