Trias 2000

Located in the glass passageway of the Faculty
of Law at the University of Passau

I created a spatial work for the foyer of the forty-meter long glass passageway of the newly erected law school which represents global communication of this faculty in today's knowledge society. Each of these bodies consists of 12 segments whose form is reminiscent of books, computer monitors, and 'links' in the globally connected knowledge society. They also pay their respects to the spacial triad of the three-river-city Passau and the three areas of law covered by the faculty.

The interplay of static and dynamic factors creates dynamic give-and-take with the room, mirrored on the long walls as a shadow-play. Trias creates an animated dialog between the translucence of the building's inner space and the parklike campus.
