hybrid_raum, 2001The geometry of the disk used as the basis for the work reflects molecular structures and their hybrid dynamics in space. The volume created by the nine elements concentrically cut from one surface is realized via five cables which suggest the dynamic motion of a spiral. In the gallery exhibition, the cone is a hybrid which floats horizontally. The object's diameter is identical to the room's height. This object reflects the discourse on architectural context - the work fills the front gallery room in the truest sense of the word. Viewed through the front window, the hybrid_raum seems to be caught like a storm in a teacup. Karin Sachs Gallery |
