Dr. Daniela Rippl is a literature scholar who
studied in London, Moscow, and Munich and got her doctorate in
1995. This was followed by a teaching position for women's research
at the University in Paderborn and at the Department for
Comparative Literature at the LMU in Munich with a focus on
literature of the 19th and 20th centuries, gender studies, and the
science of pictures. She was the curator of the Literaturhaus in
Munich from 1997-1999, responsible among other things for an
exhibition and book in honor of Vladimir Nabokov's 100th birthday.
Since January 2000, she has headed the science division of the
Munich department of culture. |
