Albert Ridgeley, is the retired
director of Leica. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1932 and
studied at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He continued
his training at the Leica academy in Berlin and then lectured on
macro- and micro-photography. He speaks English, French, Italian,
German, and Arabic. His residence in Bushey in Hertfordshire,
England resulted in a connection to Landsberg am Lech, Germany, due
to the 19th century artist Hubert von Herkomer, who lived in both
places. Ridgeley currently lives in Cornwall, is an active
Rotarian, and is active in both music and photography.

Jennifer Ridgeley, is an artist who was born in
1943 near London, and studied art and teaching in schools in
Hertfordshire. Today, she lives with her husband Albert in
Cornwall. The sea and landscapes are two inspirations for the
artist, who also writes. She has two sons, one of whom is a pop
musician in the group Wham, and whom she has accompanied on world
tours. In addition to ballet and opera, she is particulary
interested in the fine arts. |
