Prof. Dr. Dr. Lydia Andrea Hartl was born in 1955
and raised in Munich. She attended a humanistic secondary school
(includes Greek and Latin). After graduating, she studied medicine
at the University of Munich (LMU) and completed her doctorate at
the Technical University in Munich. She then studied psychology and
got her PhD at the LMU. After completing her studies, she worked as
a clinician and researcher, including at the Max Planck Institute
in Munich. After post-graduate studies she became a professor at
the Federal Academy of Design in Karlsruhe in 1994, and has been an
associate professor at the Université d'Orléans since
1999. Since July 1, 2001, she has headed the Munich Department for
Culture. |
