"Schnittmuster" – Sculpture and Installation by Nele Stroebel and Wolfgang Temme

Short description

Inspired by her visit to the Suzhou "Master of nets" garden in front of the gates of Shanghai, Nele Stroebel opens metal disks with laser cuts. Painted with phosphorescent colors, these net forms seem to float in the gallery rooms.

Wolfgang Temme exhibits wooden objects whose massive volume has been opened by cuts. Lines throughout the room - like coordinates - develop from the regular rhythms of the repetitive cutting processes - and allow the divided material to reform anew.
